Scientists and the general public have been fascinated with the possibility of life on other planets for centuries. Now, high-resolution images from Mars are giving hints at what that alien life looks like — or at least that’s what some space enthusiasts would like to believe.
Thanks to NASA’s “Curiosity” rover, a vast number of photographs of the red planet are becoming available for anybody to analyze. Unlike some past Mars missions, the robot’s digital images include a high level of detail.
What those details show, however, is widely open to interpretation.
One of those interpretations is that the pictures show remnants of alien life.
According to the U.K. Daily Express, a fairly large group of enthusiasts has identified and published interesting details sent back from Curiosity, all of which are supposedly clues about extraterrestrial life.
“Intriguing object found by the Curiosity rover, this time a possible tree stump,” stated one video on the popular YouTube channel “Paranormal Crucible,” which has over 100,000 subscribers.
Regardless of the explanation, the result is intriguing. There is no denying that Curiosity’s images show fascinating objects — and as its name suggests, sparking the human imagination and drive for knowledge is exactly why the rover was put on Mars.
