Winter in Turkey is pretty unforgiving for the homeless, so this kind woman put a little project into work to help the freezing stray cats: right outside of her window, she placed a ladder (with adorable decorations) to invite the cats inside.
The woman who works as a dentist in the town of Tekirdag came with this solution after spotting homeless cats suffering in the cold, and decided to turn her home into a refuge from winter.
“I made the ladder so the cats can come into my comfortable house,” Sebnem Ilhan said.
Nevertheless, she was worried that her change wouldn’t be welcomed by her neighbors, so she came up with a solution.
“I thought if I put some flower pots there, it wouldn’t bother anyone,” she said.
Then everything worked out just fine. The cats were happy that she offered them a cozy place to rest.
Ilhan’s good deeds doesn’t stop there. The woman also volunteers her time to care for stray dogs and felines at a local rescue.
“I wish no animal is hungry or thirsty, just happy,” she said. “This world is not just for people.”
