Jonathan Mthethwa was killed by three crocodiles as he attemped to demonstrate his ability to walk on water in Zimbabwe.
He was inspired by a Biblical tale of Jesus walking on water during a storm.
He chose to show off his biblical super powers on what is known as ‘Crocodile River’.
According to witnesses, the pastor managed to get around 90ft into the river before trying to climb onto the surface of the river.
The pastor drowned as he attempted to cross the river and was attacked by a group of crocodiles who had been hidden in the deep water.
Shocked witnesses said the pastor was completely devoured in a “couple of minutes”.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but could do nothing to help.
