According to statistics, since 1998 at least 712 children have died of heatstroke in the US after being left in hot vehicles
A 10-year-old boy called Bishop Curry from McKinney, Texas, has invented a device that could save the lives of young children accidentally left in hot cars.

The device called Oasis not only detects if a child is left inside a car, but also alerts parents and authorities.
The schoolboy said he came up with the idea when a baby named Fern died down the street due to a hot car and he saw the story on the news.
The device is still a 3-D prototype, but Bishop is working to turn his dream into a reality.
He and his father have managed to raise over $24,000 for their invention on GoFundMe page to cover costs to develop a product.
