After the photo of a young boy falling asleep whilst waiting for customers to buy his vegetables was shared online, it quickly went viral. When Sharon Cuneta, who is a Filipino singer, actress, TV host, and a reality show judge, saw the photo, she shared it on her Instagram account to raise awareness of the boy’s plight, and expressed her willingness to help.
In the photo caption, Cuneta wrote that she wants to buy all of the boy’s groceries, and hints that she might even send him to school. She also asked for the location of the boy.
The photo posted by the actress had attracted over 33,000 likes in two days, and garnered more than 500 comments.
One netizen thinks that the photo was taken overseas, writing: “This picture was taken abroad. Its obvious from the picture, that vegetable in the middle is not usually grown in the Philippines or seldom you can buy that here.”
“I hope you were able to find him. Most people here are joking of adopting him because he’s so cute (clearly shallow), but you, you look beyond this. I hope you’re able to find this boy and better yet able to help others deeply in need. You can’t save the world, but I’m sure you can help one,” one netizen commented.
