Armenia-born and Moscow-based beauty guru Goar Avetisyan regularly gives makeovers to women suffering from cancer or severe skin conditions, and her work not only dramatically changes their appearance but boosts their confidence, too.

Looking at the before-and-after shots of her subjects, Avetisyan’s 4.6 million-big Instagram following doesn’t come as a surprise.

Writing on her Instagram, she explained that her mission was to ‘give faith and hope to those who have completely despaired and lost it.’

According to a recent post on Goar’s Instagram, she often spends two-and-a-half hours perfecting a client’s look.

She wrote: ‘I can’t even explain this feeling when you do a makeover for somebody and you make this person happy and more self confident. You help the person love themselves more.’
