This little girl wants a puppy so badly, and it seems that she knows the best way to get her dad’s attention. In fact, her request for a pet has made headlines.
Brendan Greeley, a journalist, based in Maryland was getting ready for work Wednesday when he opened up his newspaper to check the headlines.
As he opened up the main page of the newspaper to check for the main story, he was welcomed with a different kind of headline.
On the front page right above the paper’s headline was a message scribbled in large letters saying, “CAN I PLEASE GET A PUPPY?! A real one!”
Amused by his daughter’s wily ways, Greeley decided to take a pic of his daughter’s request and post it on social media.

“Having studied my habits and preferences, my daughter hacked my attention this morning for her political agenda,” wrote the economics journalist.
His tweet has garnered so much attention—over 12 thousand retweets and over 61 thousand likes. Users reacting to the tweet asked Greeley to buy his daughter a puppy. It even got retweeted by the famous Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
Soon the pressure on the economic journalist got so much that he had to give in to his daughter’s wish of having a puppy.
Greeley tweeted that he would get his daughter a puppy. He also requested everyone who had asked him to get a puppy to donate to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or the SPCA.
A few days after saying yes to getting the puppy, Greeley updated his Twitter bio with this funny description: “Wife, children, dog AND NOW EVIDENTLY A DAMN PUPPY, TOO.”
Greeley also shared a heartwarming picture of his daughter’s reaction when she got to know she would get the puppy she wanted.
