The latest census on tiger population shows a heartening increase in the numbers.
The Status of Tigers in India-2018 report by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and Wildlife Institute of India showed, that the adult tiger population in the country currently stands at 2,967.

Soon, as the above picture went viral, one user wrote, ‘Terai is one of the most ecological productive ecosystems of the globe. It bounces back very soon in case given due to protection and slightly intervened with habitat inputs. Results have been extremely encouraging in Katerniaghat, Pilibhit and Dudhwa as I could see’.
According to this report, India is known to be one of the biggest and most secure tiger habitats in the world. The increase in population is the result of a ban on hunting and spreading awareness, as well as the strict implementation of wildlife protection law.
