A hunter named Markcuz Rangel from Batesville, Texas shocked the online community when he shared photos of his giganic catch.
The photo was posted on the South Texas Hunting Association’s Facebook page. It shows Rangel pictured beside a large, 13-pound bull frog that is nearly as tall as he is.
People are having trouble believing that it’s real.
The frog in the photo is indeed real, but it’s not actually as big as it may seem.
Steve Lightfoot, a spokesman for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, said the frog in the photo is indeed real and that the photo has not been photoshopped in any way.
“It’s not as bigly as it appears. It’s an optical illusion created by extending frog toward the camera – similar to what you see with fishermen holding up fish to make them appear larger. Still a big bullfrog, though” Steve Lightfoot said.
