Menswear shows continued in the British capital, Monday, June 12, with some eagerly awaited presentations. Vivienne Westwood stood out with a spectacular showcase, sending dancers and acrobats down the runway in an event that put the «show» into fashion show. The British designer’s collection included creations made from recycled materials, including plastic, and was notably inspired by playing cards, with spade, diamond, heart and club prints.
D.GNAK also got London buzzing on Monday with monochrome silhouettes in a neutral color palette, including oversized pieces embellished with straps and laces. There was a sporty, streetwear at vibe at A-COLD-WALL, which closed Monday’s shows. Meanwhile at Belstaff, the designs were inspired by the legendary Paris-dDkar rally.
Milan is the next stop in the current menswear month, with the Italian leg opening June 16. Expect collection previews from the likes of Diesel Black Gold, Emporio Armani, Marni, Versace, Prada and Fendi.
