Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, a new Louisville restaurant from the celebrity chef, will open to the public at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Fieri is the host of “Guy’s Big Bite,» Guy’s Grocery Games” and “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” all of which are on the Food Network. According to a news release, the smokehouse will be a flagship location of a new restaurant concept for him. It has been under construction in the former Sully’s space at Fourth Street Live during the last few months.
Fourth Street Live had announced a September opening for the restaurant when Fieri visited Louisville in May, so this announcement is in line with expectations. About 90 people are expected to be hired to staff the establishment. They’re in training now, according to signs posted outside the restaurant.
Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse will have 6,700 square feet of dining space, including 117 interior seats and 79 outdoor patio seats. The outdoor patio, totaling over 2,200 square feet, will have a large meat smoker custom made by Ole Hickory Pits and a bar. A media event is planned for next week for the restaurant, so look for more coverage soon.
